this here is one of the gifts we gave to our mom for mother´s day. it is a photo of the four of us taken last christmas. i decided to frame it in a cool vintage frame that i found from a thrift store. it was a cheap present, but has a soul in it and means a lot to mom.
it probably isn´t too hard to figure out how to make one, but i am going to show how i made mine anyway.
WHAT YOU NEED
- photo frame
- photo
- PVA glue
- pretty fabric
- white sheet of paper
- paper or light/thin cardboard for the back
- scissors
this is what my frame looked like..
i tore off the back cover..
..and just took the whole thing apart.
then i picked out one out of my petty fabrics and cut out a piece larger than the frame.
next i set the cardboard piece that was in the frame under the old picture already on the fabric and pretty much just wrapped it in it [glued the corners and edges]..
i glued my photo on the white sheet of paper an cut it so that i would have about half a cm wide edge left. then glued that on the wrapped cardboard piece..
last, i put the whole thing back together! for the back i used watercolour paper, because i didn´t have anything else at that point.
and voila!
