the getting my driving license done story. first things first - here is how you can get  your permit in estonia:

go to driving school, for 6 weeks of classroom driving theory and then 20 driving lessons. After that, pass a driving school theory exam and driving exam. Then get approved and take the official theory and driving exam in the ARK (Estonian Motor Vehicle Registration Centre). plus, get your first aid course done.

so, today i want to tell you a story about how i got approved and passed the driving school road test. i had passed the school theory test a few weeks earlier, by the way! so i was all ready to go take the test today, la la la, happy and all. nervous as hell though. i got in the car, shuddering, and the examiner started asking me all kinds of basic questions about cars. i failed a bit.. forgot about a few things i should not have. but the driving part was terrible. i ignored a couple of pedestrians as well as a few traffic signs. then i messed up a bit with parking backwards. and then, at some point, the examiner had to grab the wheel as i was messing with the right mirror while driving. i almost crashed into another car! hahaa. after that i was completely sure i was going to fail. we drove back to the school. the examiner asked me to write down 5 reasons why i think he had failed me. so i did that and burst into tears. emotional like i am. it was terrible and i felt so embarrassed. i was actually mad at myself, i am so much afraid of failure. then he told me a bit more about my mistakes and then said.."but, i am letting you through!"

jeeez, now that was a surprise. and then he told me that i ´d better go wash the make up off my face. (i cried, remember) hahaa.

what a tense day i had. seriously. half way done with this journey.
