do it yourself > shoe re-design

as i was in need of a new pair of summer sandals i bought these most regular and boring mass produced cheap ones right here. they actually were not even sandals, they came as "flip flops".
[some of the pictures were taken late at night since i worked on them for a few days, both at nights and at day time]
tis is were i decided to do some re-designing.

WHAT YOU NEED
- thread in the colour of the sandals
- needle
- leather/any kind of straps you find pretty and suitable
- pretty buttons, studs etc.
- two little buckles for side fastening
- staples and staple punch [obviously]
- a creative mind
- patience

i really do not have this pictured up as a step by step tutorial but i did take some after every little while. i believe you get the idea by running through the whole post.
okay, so the soles of my flats were thick enough to punch staples through them. just make sure the ends wont stab you once you put the shoes on.

here they are!
