i am back from russia. it was a silly trip. not my favourite. but not too bad either.
why do i sound so negative??? well i actually don´t haha. i was just a bit tired throughout the whole trip. the whole thing lasted for 3 days. first, it took us about 6 hours to get to our destination called st. peterburg. the hotel sucked [hahaha, seriously]. it was some cheap one BUT in the centre of the city. it had a nice view on a river that flows through the city [actually there are many more rivers, the city is built on around 80 (?) islands] we did some painting, visited a couple of museums, walked in the city a lot, ate a lot, tanned a bit, understood nothing [the language, duuh], made fools of ourselves [mostly my sister....], took pictures and enjoyed the weather [which was bEAUTIFUl!]
russia freaked me out a bit. it seemed to be a pretty dangerous place to walk around.. russian guys are very open minded and give hints like crazy. we had some following us. some gave annoying compliments. some gave too inappropriate compliments.. don´t get me wrong. the city was beautiful and so was the weather, but it disturbed me that some people lack of respect towards others. oh well.
i will let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

we sure did have a nice view from the hotel window..
did i mention that they have peanut butter, oreos and subway????? well, i just did. DANNNGGG. i didn´t buy any though because peanut butter cost 240 rbl [8.66 dollars!] and oreos were 360 rub [13 dollars!] imma go get my oreos and peanut butter in the US next summer!
we got a sandwich from this place though!!! i was happy.
don´t know who that guy on the right was but he was there every day painting. and he was reealllyyy good.
we also went to this place where they had loads of pretty fountains. i had been there once before already so i wasn´t too excited. we spent half the time given at the beach collecting seashells. i will show pictures of the whole load in another post sometime. if you want to know more about the fountain place click here brought this to my sister from the US. i so should have kept it to myself, hahaha. but she lets me borrow it, phew.
