the making of wedding fever

i like to post the making of updates after something is done. so, here is the making of wedding fever for moepark 2011. i don´t know about you, but for me it is always awesome to see the process. picture quality, again, is a bunch of crap. live with it.
one sentence that goes for every piece is that most of the supply was gotten from second hand stores [i reused materials!]
I - made of an old men´s suit, an old men´s dress shirt, a huge piece of curtain; i am pretty sure the cotton fabric i used for the second layer was once a bedsheet; the third layer is just some white silky piece of fabric. in addition, i used some details, such as buttons and twine.

the three layers i was talking about
the actual idea of the top part was this....
but unfortunately the thingy would not fit the model :( so we had to cut it and leave the sleeve parts only.

II - for this one i used lots of old tulle curtains, plus the same white silky fabric; the flower patterned piece that tops the white dress was made of a curtain as well [a really bad material to use on a wedding dress in reality] ; some twine, ribbon, and elastic as well.

you can´t really tell, but there is also a veil that goes with the dress.

III -  old curtain, white silk, ribbon, twine.
i did not have much time to mess with taking pictures of this one. but the few ones i got..

IV - i barely have pictures of this one. i used silk fabfic of an old dress to make the blue top part, some old white tulle curtain and silk for the white dress; elastic, plus lots of ribbon to complete the look.

V - this one is the same that i had in the fashion stop [moepeatus] show in january, only i changed it a bit. some old tulle fabric and ribbons were added.

VI - the last piece was made the day before the show and i was freaking out. that is why i don´t have a single picture of how it was made.
anyhow,  as i already have mentioned, this one looked completely different in my head. i used tulle and silk plus some ribbon and twine again.

all the flowers were fake, i just made them look real by twisting some paper and ribbon around them!

speaking real wedding dress wise, i don´t think anyone would ever actually go with any of these. it was just something that i was really excited about. i went with the flow. even though i am continually into wedding dresses, it is too early for me to work on some serious projects, and i will probably keep playing with the ones i have got so far.

thanks for listening.
